The Mueller report is finally here. You can get your own copy of the 448 page report here. The report clearly states the following:
Although the investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the Campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts, the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.
Mueller Report Volume 1, page 1.
No coordination was established. Yet the report clearly states that both expected to benefit from the outcome. In other words, the report established that both were aware of each other, working towards a common goal, but they didn’t “shake hands” on it?
I have seen people convicted for said “circumstantial evidence”. And if not convicted, definitely charged. So what gives? Why was the smoke not hot enough to result in the expected charge?
That’s a a great question. And something I intend to better understand as our reporting of the report continues. Here, you can expect accurate, fact-based, fair, interpretation of the Mueller Report.
