Magnets are amazing

Magnets are so amazing, they kept Einstein enthralled in their mystery for many years. How can these "things", with no moving parts, generate forces? Why does that even happen? This post is not about how magnets work. It is about how magnets can help make food easier to cook. Cooking rice can be tricky. If you don't cook it well, you end up with raw rice. If you cook it too slowly, you will have burnt rice. Of course, after some trial and error, everyone figures it out....

The power of magnets

Have you ever wondered how powerful magnets and magnetic fields can be? There are various types of magnets; permanent magnets (like fridge magnets), temporary magnets (magnetized paperclips), and electromagnets (speakers). I'm sure you have played with one, or all three. But I bet you never realized how precisely you could magnetize something to the point that you could control it remotely. A magnet is the result of particles in an object which are arranged in a north/south orientation and emit a magnetic field. What the scientists have done...
